Participation
Terms of participation
These terms apply to everyone who registers on MachineHack for The Great Indian FDE Hiring Hackathon 2026, run by AIM Media House.
Eligibility
Open to individual participants. Students may declare their institution and are flagged on the leaderboard. Organisers, and anyone with access to the hidden evaluation data, may not compete.
One account per person
This is an individual contest: one account per person and one entry per account. Duplicate or shared accounts may be merged or disqualified.
Fair play
- Any tools, models or AI assistants are allowed. You are judged on the outcomes your agent produces, not on the technology you choose.
- Attempting to access hidden ground truth, other participants' sandboxes or data, or the scoring internals results in disqualification.
- Daily attempt limits per task family are enforced server-side and must not be circumvented.
- Submissions must be produced by your own work in your own environment.
Scoring and results
Submissions are scored automatically against a hidden evaluation suite. Organisers may re-run scoring, correct errors, and adjust or void entries where a rule was broken. Final standings and prize decisions by the organisers are binding.
Hiring
This contest doubles as a hiring pipeline. By registering you agree that your name, email, profile details and results may be shared with participating and sponsoring companies for shortlisting, and that they may contact you about roles.
Taking part does not guarantee an interview, an offer or any form of employment, and hiring decisions rest entirely with the companies concerned.
Publicity
Your display name, student badge and scores appear on the public leaderboard and may be used in event announcements and at Cypher 2026. Winners may be asked to present their approach on stage.
Data
Personal data is handled as described in the privacy and data declaration. Datasets and sandbox content provided for the contest are for contest use only and may not be redistributed.
Changes
Organisers may update these terms or the task schedule during the contest. Material changes are announced on the competition pages.
