Privacy & data collection declaration

• Account data: name, email address and password credentials held by our auth provider.
• Profile data you choose to add: headline, bio, phone, city and country, student status and institution, avatar, and links to LinkedIn, GitHub, X or a personal site.
• Participation data: submissions you upload, scores, attempt counts, sandbox activity and API usage, and leaderboard standing.
• Correspondence: messages sent through the contact or partner forms, and delivery records of the emails we send you.
• Basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the platform.

• To run the contest: authenticate you, score submissions and enforce attempt limits.
• To publish the leaderboard, including your display name and student badge.
• For hiring and recruitment: this is a hiring hackathon. Your name, email, profile details and results may be shared with participating and partner companies so they can shortlist and evaluate candidates.
• To send event, scoring and account communication related to the hackathon.
• To prevent abuse and to comply with legal obligations.

We process this data on the basis of the consent you give at registration. You may withdraw consent at any time, which ends your participation in the contest.

• Hiring and sponsoring partners of the hackathon, for shortlisting purposes — limited to your name, contact email, profile details and results. These partners may contact you directly about job opportunities.
• Service providers who operate the platform on our behalf: cloud hosting, database and storage, and our transactional email provider.
• Publicly, on the leaderboard and in event announcements: display name, student badge and scores. We never publish your email address or phone number.

We do not sell personal data.

Account and participation data is kept for the duration of the contest and for up to 24 months afterwards, so results can be verified and hiring follow-ups completed. Email delivery logs are kept for 12 months. Data is deleted or anonymised after that.

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Profile details can be edited from your dashboard, and an account can be deleted there when no scored submission exists on record. For anything else, write to us and we will act within 30 days.
